Coup double du Cèdre

Double blow of the cedar

dimanche 19 mai 2024

We have just received theImprobable 2022of Cedar, a wine that I really liked last year. But it does not happen on its own. The Cadurcian domain releases a new cuvée from white,  The Greezes, at the very Bordeaux assembly (Sauvignon, Sémillon, Muscadelle) ... but not at all resembling a Bordeaux. The improbable is rather less improbable than last year, with a less divisive aromatic and a more seductive mouth. I think it can make a misfortune, because it is the perfect wine for tasters at the delicate palace (and we are more and more numerous!). As for Grèzes, it has a real personality, and shows that Cahors is also a white wine soil.

IGP Lot Les Grèzes 2022 (13.90 €)
50% Sauvignon white, 40% Sémillon, 10%

The dress is yellow straw, shiny.

The nose is fine, on the hot apple, the fresh hazelnut, the cedrat, with a buttered / smoke point.

A mouth bursts with freshness from the attack before taking up a large scale immediately, deploying a luscious, fleshy material, with a crunchy fruit underlined by a slight peler.

The final offers a chalky chews at will, on the green apple and the pomelo, with persistence on saline and spicy notes.

100 % Malbec (Bleeding + Direct Press)

The clear dress is between the vermilion and the garnet.

The nose is fine, fresh, on the red berries with a (subtle) speed of volatile.

The mouth is round, ample, aerial, with an unreal, caressing, sensual finesse, with fresh fruit (cherry) finely tart and spicy.

The finish is toned, deliciously biting, with a cooler and expressive fruit and a touch of blood orange and spices.
