Cépage : 100 % Pinot gris

Cueillette : manuelle avec transport par cagettes pour ne pas tasser les raisins

Vinification : table de tri - pressurage pneumatique sous gaz inerte - fermentation et élevage en cuve avec batonnage de 6 à 8 mois

Dégustation : la robe est jaune paille, brillante. La nez est expressif, évoquant les fruits jaunes et blancs bien mûrs, le miel et le beurre. La bouche est ronde, très ample, avec une matière riche, généreuse, presque grasse, heureusement équilibrée par une fraîcheur inattendue, apportant du peps et de la tension. En final, c'est un joli mix entre amertume et astringence qui évite toute lourdeur. Ce sont les (nobles) amers qui finissent pas l'emporter, prolongeant longuement le vin.

Un Pinot gris qui sort vraiment de l'ordinaire, loin du stéréotype alsacien.

What is an author wine?

These can be so diverse depending on the personality of their sire, that it is easier to define what it is not. An author wine is anything but a standard, stereotypical wine, made to please as many people as possible. It is therefore rarely produced in millions of copies, copying itself from vintage in vintage.

An author wine is therefore a wine that does not look like that of the neighbor. Which from year to year will evolve according to the vagaries of the weather and the mood of the author - the two that can be linked. Because the author does not rely on market studies to carry out his boat. He makes his wine as he feels, as he likes, as he can, sometimes ... and too bad if he does not please everyone.

This can be so diverse depending on the personality of their sire, that it is easier to define what it is not.
