Après un BTS viti oenologie obenu en 2012, Geoffrey de Noüel a travaillé un an chez Pascal Ricotier à Crissay sur Manse, puis 3 ans au chateau de Coulaine (Etienne de Bonnaventure). En 2016, il a repris le clos de la Peuvrie.

Le vignoble certifié BIO a une surface de 10 hectares, comprend majoritairement du cabernet franc, mais aussi du côt, du chenin et du chardonnay.

Brigand Côt provient de vignes de Côt ( = Malbec) situées Sainte-Maure de Touraine sur un terroirs d'argiles, sables et silex.

La vinification, en partie en cuve, le reste en barrique de 5 ans, est la moins interventionniste possible : pas de levure exogène ni intrant à part le SO2 en dose très faible.

Dégustation : la robe est pourpre sombre. Le nez est expressif, sur les fruits noirs mûrs, les épices et des notes sanguines / ferreuses. La bouche est ronde, ample, veloutée, avec une matière charnue / pulpeuse au fruit intense et gourmand, et dotée d'une grande fraîcheur. La finale confirme toutes ces bonnes impressions, avec encore plus de fruit et de gourmandise. Un très beau Côt ligérien !

What is an author wine?

These can be so diverse depending on the personality of their sire, that it is easier to define what it is not. An author wine is anything but a standard, stereotypical wine, made to please as many people as possible. It is therefore rarely produced in millions of copies, copying itself from vintage in vintage.

An author wine is therefore a wine that does not look like that of the neighbor. Which from year to year will evolve according to the vagaries of the weather and the mood of the author - the two that can be linked. Because the author does not rely on market studies to carry out his boat. He makes his wine as he feels, as he likes, as he can, sometimes ... and too bad if he does not please everyone.

This can be so diverse depending on the personality of their sire, that it is easier to define what it is not. As author's wines are not chaptalized, levied, hacked ... They can have very different profiles depending on the vintage. It is up to us (resellers and consumers) to accept them as they are, and to remain faithful to the producers, because they need us to continue their activity.
