Cela fait dĂ©jĂ plus de 20 ans (1996) que ZoltĂĄn Demeter Ă©labore du vin Ă Tokaj, dâabord avec Ivan Ć zepĆĄi puis au domaine KirĂ lyudvar et enfin depuis une dizaine dâannĂ©es pour lui-mĂȘme. Il est sans doute aujourdâhui, avec Ivan Ć zepĆĄi le plus grand vinificateur de vins de Tokaj. Il participe activement depuis de nombreuses annĂ©es, Ă la redĂ©couverte des terroirs de Hongrie, soit en tant que viticulteur, soit en tant que consultant. Il a comme objectif de redĂ©finir les grands terroirs viticoles de Tokaj, dĂ©naturĂ©s pendant plus de 50 ans par le productivisme communiste.
AprĂšs avoir suivi une formation dâhorticulture Ă lâuniversitĂ© de Budapest, il a complĂ©tĂ© sa formation aux Ătats-Unis, en France et en Grande-Bretagne. Aujourdâhui ZoltĂĄn possĂšde 7 hectares de vignes provenant de 7 vignobles diffĂ©rents, rĂ©partis sur 5 zones distinctes.
Cette cuvĂ©e est un 100% HĂĄrslevelƱ dâun vignoble classĂ© grand cru. Chaque bouteille est numĂ©rotĂ©e et il existe Ă peine plus dâun millier. Câest minĂ©ral, tendu, sec, harmonieux, Ă©quilibrĂ©, floral, Ă©picĂ© et dâune grande buvabilitĂ©. Capable de rivaliser avec les vins des grands terroirs du monde.
Szamorodni se traduit par "comme il se dĂ©tache de la vigne". Les raisins Furmint de ce vin ont Ă©tĂ© cueillis grappe par grappe (par opposition Ă ramassage par baie) avec des niveaux Ă©levĂ©s de maturitĂ© et de botrytis. Pour ceux qui appelleraient cela «infĂ©rieur» au Tokaji AszĂș 6 Puttonyos, je dis dĂ©trompez-vous: le niveau de sucre rĂ©siduel naturel minimum pour cette dĂ©signation est de 150 grammes par litre, et le Szamorodni 2017 de Demeter arrive Ă un Ă©norme 238 g / l.
Pour ceux qui pensent que ce serait trop doux/Ă©cĆurant, je dis dĂ©trompez-vous, encore: Avec neuf grammes d'aciditĂ© totale, c'est comme si un raz-de-marĂ©e nettoyant et ultra-mince traversait chaque riche couche de marmelade d'abricot, de coing et de pĂȘche.

What is an author wine?
This can be so diverse depending on the personality of their sire, that it is easier to define what it is not. An author wine is anything but a standard, stereotypical wine, made to please as many people as possible. It is therefore rarely produced in millions of copies, copying itself from vintage in vintage.
An author wine is therefore a wine that does not look like that of the neighbor. Which from year to year will evolve according to the vagaries of the weather and the mood of the author - the two that can be linked. Because the author does not rely on market studies to carry out his boat. He makes his wine as he feels, as he likes, as he can, sometimes ... and too bad if he does not please everyone.
This is why author wines are sometimes classified as "table wine" or "France wine". Because the winemaker did not plan the authorized grape variety*, makes the assembly or vinification recommended in the name **. He is often a bit rebellious, our author. But that is why we like it! ... That said, author's wines are not systematically marginal: they are present in most of the appellations, and can be part of the elite of these this***. Because they are not content to have personality: they are good, in addition! With in general aDegree of TorchabilityVery high: we never tire of it at the end of the first sip.
As author's wines are not chaptalized, levied, hacked ... They can have very different profiles depending on the vintage. It is up to us (resellers and consumers) to accept them as they are, and to remain faithful to the producers, because they need us to continue their activity.
