La terre et la vigne

Ce gewurztraminer provient en partie du lieu-dit Weinberg à Heiligenstein, un terroir composé d’argiles et de calcaires et du Grand cru Zotzenberg à Mittelbergheim composé de calcaires gréseux ferrugineux. Le raisin a été trié à la vigne en vue d’une macération de grappes entières.

Vinification

Elaboré à partir d'une macération de grappes entières de 21 jours et assemblé pour 1/3 avec des jus en pressurage direct. Fermentation spontanée à partir de levures indigènes. Elevage sur lies de 8 mois en foudre. Sans sulfites ajoutés

Dégustation

La robe est entre l'or rose et l'orange. Le nez est fin, complexe, sur la rose, les épices orientales et une pointe de volatile. La bouche est d'une finesse et d'une fraîcheur enthousiasmantes qui vous envoie direct au paradis du buveur. C'est d'une ampleur dinguissime, très aérien, et en même temps, d'une grande intensité sur la rose, la pêche de vigne, les épices. La finale est une merveille de puissance et d'équilibre : ça envoie du lourd tout en étant d'une fraîcheur et d'une digestibilité hors-normes, avec une persistance bolliwoodienne sur les épices et les notes florales.

Accords culinaires :

Ce gewurztraminer atypique conviendra à toutes sortes de préparations épicées : curry d'agneau, tajin, spécialités de cuisine exotique, volailles farcies, etc. On pourra le servir également avec un plateau de fromages ou avec un crumble. Le service du vin Servir frais à 14 °C degrés.

What is an author wine?

This can be so diverse depending on the personality of their sire, that it is easier to define what it is not. An author wine is anything but a standard, stereotypical wine, made to please as many people as possible. It is therefore rarely produced in millions of copies, copying itself from vintage in vintage.

An author wine is therefore a wine that does not look like that of the neighbor. Which from year to year will evolve according to the vagaries of the weather and the mood of the author - the two that can be linked. Because the author does not rely on market studies to carry out his boat. He makes his wine as he feels, as he likes, as he can, sometimes ... and too bad if he does not please everyone.

This is why author wines are sometimes classified as "table wine" or "France wine".
